Leiper's Fork

My wife and I decided to get out of the house this Saturday and take a look around Leiper's Fork.  It had been years since I had been through and I wanted to see it again and take a look around the galleries.  It was very hot outside but we braved the heat to see good art and have a nice lunch.  We parked and walked to several galleries the nicest of which was Leiper's Creek Gallery.

This place had great organic produce:

We ate lunch at the general store that has a small selection of basics in the grocery section, a nice little restaurant and a stage for a band to play on.  They also had a tiny bar with 3-4 stools and a decent selection of beer on tap.  The food wasn't so great but we will go back and try a different meal as my wife and I split a plate.  If you are an art lover and get the chance to go, you should.  The town is a varied mix of blur collar and educated types that blend together to make a nice community.
